I don’t know how Brittney Sahin does it but every single book she releases becomes my favorite Brittney book and Tessa and Grays story certainly doesn’t disappoint。 Tessa and Gray met 13 years ago and they were certainly attracted to each other but Gray was stubborn and dealing with just having lost a leg and learning to function all over again。 He lets Tessa go and 13 years later the pull to each other is so much more。 They are both in different places in their lives but someone is trying to ha I don’t know how Brittney Sahin does it but every single book she releases becomes my favorite Brittney book and Tessa and Grays story certainly doesn’t disappoint。 Tessa and Gray met 13 years ago and they were certainly attracted to each other but Gray was stubborn and dealing with just having lost a leg and learning to function all over again。 He lets Tessa go and 13 years later the pull to each other is so much more。 They are both in different places in their lives but someone is trying to harm Tessa。 Gray and the Falcon Falls team move in to help her and find out who is trying to harm her。 The suspense and adventure is everything we have come to expect from Brittney Sahin and as always she outdoes herself。 5 Stars are just not enough for this amazing story 。。。more

If you have read any of Brittney’s other books in this series or in her other ones， you have your “favorite” book boyfriend。 Gray had been mentioned in the books but I never really let him in until I read the Taken One。 I had to say he is one of my favorite characters so far。 He may seem a little cold and rough sometimes but you also get glimpses of how much he genuinely cares and feels about his tribe。 Brittney’s books keep getting better and better and this is no different。

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided to me。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 After the prologue was released， I wondered if Gray would destroy my heart and put me in a book funk。 That is not the case！ I was hooked as soon as I finished the first chapter and had to slow down。 Gray and Tessa are romantic suspense， with second chance romance and a sprinkle of friends to lovers。 Needless to say， this book hit almost all my favorite tropes in one！ 13 years ago， I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book provided to me。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 After the prologue was released， I wondered if Gray would destroy my heart and put me in a book funk。 That is not the case！ I was hooked as soon as I finished the first chapter and had to slow down。 Gray and Tessa are romantic suspense， with second chance romance and a sprinkle of friends to lovers。 Needless to say， this book hit almost all my favorite tropes in one！ 13 years ago， Grayson Chandler was injured and went to physical therapy。 Tessa Sloane was her student Physical Therapist who pushed him to get back on his feet。 Things progressed into good friends until one night was shared between the two and Gray left Tessa。 Having not heard her voice in many years， he never expected to hear a voicemail from Tessa in danger asking for help。 I must admit that this feels like the first book I have read where both the characters truly balance one another。 Gray has patience to make Tess stay calm and conquer her claustrophobia。 Where Gray comes off as hardened from the card he was dealt with his injury。 Tessa sees the color in the world and isn’t afraid to push Gray to stop seeing in grey！ BAHHH。 I just love Tessa’s nervous babble and gravity checks aka klutziness。 She is definitely one of my favorite top heroines Britney has written。 Gray through me for a curveball。 I remember when he told Griffin to not mess things up with Savannah and here Gray is attempting to not let his emotions get the best of him while trying to save Tessa。 He is broodier than I imagined， but so much more protective and patient with Tessa’s fears。 My heart squeezed each and every special moment they had together。 I am also impressed with some of the characters' growth。 Griffin isn’t as growly as he used to be， probably because of Savannah and Jack。 Jack’s happy go lucky demeanor is infectious， and I can’t wait to see what happens to him。 Needless to say， I will attempt to patiently wait to see what Britney comes out with next！ 。。。more

I’m still in awe that I had the opportunity to get an ARC of this book。 I screamed out loud and shed actual tears when Brittney gave me the opportunity to read and review this。 I’ve been reading Brittney’s books since 2020 （some have been read more than once） and feel like my life is complete！！ Her books have been there for me during the biggest life changes （moving 9 hrs from home， starting a new life as a military family， the birth of my son， buying our first home。） I literally read Chasing Sh I’m still in awe that I had the opportunity to get an ARC of this book。 I screamed out loud and shed actual tears when Brittney gave me the opportunity to read and review this。 I’ve been reading Brittney’s books since 2020 （some have been read more than once） and feel like my life is complete！！ Her books have been there for me during the biggest life changes （moving 9 hrs from home， starting a new life as a military family， the birth of my son， buying our first home。） I literally read Chasing Shadows with my feet up in the air swollen and waiting for my son to come into the world 🤣 Every time I read one of her books I think， “there’s no way the next one will be better” but they just keep blowing me away！！ There was so much hype over this book and it didn’t disappoint！ I let it sit for a week because I was so afraid to start it， but damn did Gray live up to ALLLLL the hype！ I’ve been waiting for his book since Chasing the Knight and I was NOT disappointed。 All of my favorite characters were back （Gwen， Wyatt， Natasha， Bear）and I’ll never understand the way Brittney’s mind works and how she can weave so many characters， story lines and suspenseful， mysterious moments into one freakin book。 She does more in one book than some authors do in a whole series。 It seriously blows my mind！！ And Tessa， oh she was seriously the very best of all of us and everyone can find a little of themselves in her。 She was the perfect choice for Gray and I’m so glad we had to wait so long for them。 The two of them together made my heart SOAR and the fact that there was no true third act breakup makes me SO FREAKIN HAPPY！ Thank you for not breaking their hearts， thank you for following your heart and writing such brilliant stories and thank you a million times over for the opportunity to read it！ LYSM ❤️⭐️: 1，000，000/5 🌶️: 4。25/5 although I REALLY would have appreciated an actual 🍑 scene and not just a tease 😫🤣 。。。more
